Kalender Bali Oktober 2026: Rerainan, Odalan, dan Agenda Keagamaan

OCTOBER确定意味着 pura, desa adat, dan households di Bali entering one of the densest months in the Saka calendar. The monthly calendar published ahead of time functions as a working document, not merely a religious calendar: it fixes the dates of temple anniversaries, ancestor rites, and communal ceremonies that shape work schedules, market activity, school routines, and even the movement of tourists across the island.

The underlying structure is the Balinese Saka system, which since March this year has been running in Saka year 1948. Time is counted in a 210-day repeating cycle, and the year itself is divided into twelve months of thirty days each, named after a sequence of animals. Every second year, an additional thirty-day period is inserted, so a full turn comes to 360 or 390 days. Alongside that cycle runs a seven-day week with its own distinctive day names, which is why a single date in the printed calendar can carry several layers of meaning simultaneously.

Galungan dan Kuningan di Oktober 2026

Two entries draw the widest attention this month, and they sit in the second half of October rather than at the start of it. Galungan falls on 15 Oktober 2026, with Kuningan arriving ten days later on 25 Oktober 2026. Galungan is regarded as the day of dharma, when penjor are raised along village streets and household compounds are swept clean. Kuningan marks the conclusion of the observance, and on that date families typically perform ngebring offerings to family temples.

The sequence does not begin on the main day itself. Penampahan Kuningan falls six days before Galungan, placing it on 9 Oktober 2026, and is treated as the opening phase of the cycle. Ten days after Kuningan, around 4 November, the schedule moves into Kuningan Pemacekan Agung, a phase associated with higher ritual activity and processions. Visitors planning a trip should note that transport to and from the mainland slows considerably across these dates, and accommodation demand rises earlier than the ritual days themselves.

Rerainan, Odalan, dan Perbedaan Antar Desa

One of the most persistent misunderstandings among outsiders concerns the distinction between rerainan and odalan. Rerainan refers to the daily anniversary of a specific temple, keyed to the temple deity and the weekday on which its founding day falls. Because every day in the 210-day cycle carries a rerainan, any date on the printed grid can display at least one temple anniversary. Odalan, by contrast, refers to a larger commemoration attached to a village or a particular temple, often tied to a founding event, a victory, or a gift from a king, and it may run across several days.

A further complication is that the grand odalan schedule is not identical across the island. The same month may show a major ceremony in one kabupaten while the equivalent ceremony falls in a different week in another, or does not appear at all in some village calendars. This is not an error in printing but a reflection of how the calendar is administered: the base layer follows the statewide Saka reckoning, while the detailed odalan layer is set by each desa adat together with its pedanda. For that reason, published monthly calendars are treated as a general guide, and residents confirm their own obligations locally.

Pekan Sadawa dan Agenda Rutin

October also contains the regular weekly observances that structure daily religious life. Wednesday Kliwon, known as Buda Kliwon, is reserved for Pitra Doa rites for ancestors and is one of the busiest days for temple activity and family shrines. Saturday, called Sadawa, is used for the family temple and for certain forms of ancestor worship. On Purnama and Tilem nights, devotees place offerings at sea or at specific shrines, while temple days named after animals and market-day observances continue to follow the printed cycle.

Warga Residence rarely treats the printed monthly grid as fixed law. For them it is a reference map: the authoritative date for a ceremony is the one agreed upon by the village council and its ritual expert, and those can shift by a day or two depending on local circumstances.

Beyond worship, the month carries practical consequences. Farmers and traders align market activity around temple days, local authorities adjust administrative service hours, and residents schedule house cleaning, repairs, and family gatherings for the weeks preceding Kuningan. Schools and offices commonly observe the same patterns. For the tourism sector, the Galungan window is the single most important period of the month, with visitor flows concentrated in the days surrounding both Galungan and Kuningan.

Yang Perlu Diperhatikan Readers

Several points deserve emphasis before using any monthly calendar. First, the statewide framework applies universally, so Galungan, Kuningan, Penampahan Kuningan, and Kuningan Pemacekan Agung can be relied upon as fixed anchors for October 2026. Second, odalan details are local, and any specific temple ceremony should be checked with the relevant desa adat. Third, days outside the headline observances are not quiet ones: the daily rerainan layer means temples open repeatedly across the month, and the Saturday and Wednesday Kliwon schedules remain fully active throughout.

For residents, the October calendar is best read as a packed sequence rather than a single event. Two major state-wide observances anchor the second half of the month, while the rest of the days distribute family rites, village ceremonies, and market events across the weeks before and after. Confirming with the local village administration remains the practical step that separates an accurate reading of the calendar from an incorrect one.
